Poem by Tanni Bose

The door

She stands by the door;
Walks in after prolonged reminiscence.
Overpowered by
Emotions gray,
At her, potent Time grinned.
Questioned, threatened,
Abused, ridiculed;
Ensured she is not consoled
Authoritarian Time, left her.
Later he did pay a proud visit.
But then, she didn’t want his solace.
She had, after all, won over time.
