TO MY FATHER / Poem by Maria Miraglia

Poem by Maria Miraglia

You were a fine painter
and wrote enchanting poetries
big your knowledge and culture
but most of all
you were a great father

I know you are up there and
smiling at me now

You see
it is not for the special occasion
I’m thinking of you

We don’t need that
to share our love feelings
as we usually do
even from so far away

Love doesn’t fear distances
nor changes its intensity
because of the passing time

I can still hear your warm voice
and read in your gentle eyes
all the beauty of your heart

Nothing ceases to be
as long as love is still alive.
