Love across the saline desert / Poem by Tanni Bose

Poem by Tanni Bose

Love across the saline desert

Bare foot I walk, miles and miles
Frozen to the core with thoughts hardened as ice

Summer, spring, autumn and winter
Bore stagnancy on the sandy nature

Clothed with the fragile beauty within
I embrace love in your deep eyes of mysticism

Songs at your ebb and flow
Commands my soul to sail and follow

The glassy sand has battered my ravaged feet
On the horizon I look for holy retreat

In your embrace I feel the warmth
Your heart is my hearth in the hostile month

I tread and pace across barren heart of earth
Your voice echo-
‘My sweet love you are my escort across the saline dessert”.
