The Poor Prince / Poem by Soumitra Talukder

Poem by Soumitra Talukder
The Poor Prince
He said, I am a poor prince
And represent his treasure
A real price that came from the nature
What a bounty of food, garnished so nice
He said, “I am a poor prince”!
But in his heart, a lovely angel resides
That gives him hope and some advice.
That holds his head, in high tides
She said; “Life is a gift”!
Don´t waste it in complaints
Anguish, curse and jealousies
But turn them into love and wisdom
And resolve the things that really matters.
