LOVE’S WISDOM / Poem by Roula Pollard

LOVE’S WISDOM

The city inhaled
the symphony
of its sounds.
Car exhausts
children’s laughter
the voice of joy
of two lovers
holding hands.
A song from
a remote corner
of the sea
the street lights
buzzing as bees
the olive tree
narrating a story
the wholeness
of the evening light

All sent vibration
messages
waves of love
to the Universe.
The sky lit
as new love
brightness of blue
and cotton plantations
close to the moon.
Perfection
someone said.

The night is complete
only when love cohabits
with you
when love’s fullness
is at home.
