Dove of Peace / Poem by Olfa Philo

Dove of Peace

Oh dove of peace,
We beg you to stop your caprice
And come back please !

Where have you been dear queen?
I’m the phoenix; the icon of rebirth
I beg you to come back to earth!
We are under a terrible curse
Only you can this spell reverse !

Oh dove of peace,
Where have you been for decades?
Are you buried alive under the ground ?
Or drowned in the deep deep sea?
Or already migrated to another galaxy?

Oh dove of peace,
We beg you to stop your caprice
And come back please !

Monsters have invaded and occupied our land
And their bloodshed, we can no longer withstand…

If you are lying deep down in the oceans
I beg you to resurface again and
Hearken to our ailing emotions…

If you are buried under the ground,
I beg you to leave your tomb
And come install yourself in my womb
Your rebirth, I’ll guarantee
Your soul and wings, I’ll restore
And together we’ll stop wars…

If you already left our earth
To live in a far far galaxy
I beg you to come back and see
The thriller movies acted on our stages
The tragic scenes we daily watch on our screens
And the silent ghosts behind the scenes…

Oh dove of peace,
We beg you to stop your caprice
And come back please !
Come and emancipate us from Lucifer’s cage!
To the seven deadly sins, we’ve become slaves…

Oh dove of peace,
The poets’ souls have been aching since
Your departure with no single trace
They’ve been mingling and mixing
Letters and words in all languages
Of each continent, tribe and race
To find the right magical code
To conjure you up and
Spread your divine grace…

Oh dove of peace,
We beg you to stop your caprice
And come back please !
All creatures on earth beg you
To come again to reign
And resurrect our dormant
Hearts and brains…
