All the world loves you (Dedicated to Mother Teresa of Calcutta) / Poem by Dr. Diana Skrapari

Poem by Dr. Diana Skrapari

All the world loves you

Dedicated to Mother Teresa of Calcutta

You came from far away,

With love and bounty in your heart,

The screams of sufferance you heard

And you wanted to heal them.

You left your country,

Your family, your home,

The voice of God guided you,

In a world you had never known before.

You dried the tears in our eyes,

You stopped bleeding our souls,

The bombs and bullets

Didn’t scare you,

Everywhere you went,

Hope and happiness you brought.

All the world loves you,

You became a mother for all of us,

A smile of yours,

Destroyed our sorrows,

Your soft hands,

Took away our wounds.

You gave everything you had,

To all the people of the world,

You sacrificed your own life,

That love and compassion

Reign in or hearts.

All the world loves you,

Dear Mother,

We miss your face so much,

We haven’t forgot you,

You’ll be always among us,

Even though you belong to heaven now.

All the world loves you,

Your memory as a star

Will shine forever,

You inherited us

The biggest treasure in the universe,

To love the others

As we love ourselves.
