MY IMAGE – Leyla Işık / Translated by Baki Yiğit

Poem by Leyla Işık

MY IMAGE

When I want to convert
My silences into laughters
My female side is
Enchained:
O freedom!
In your absence
I’m a subdued image
That has lost its image
In the worn out photographs,
Whose frames are in the rough hands.
