FROM CRIMSON COBWEBS (The eyes of the child brides) / Poem by Claudia PICCINNO

Poem by Claudia PICCINNO

FROM CRIMSON COBWEBS
The eyes of the child brides

The black eyes
of baby girls
they are splinters of ebony
for the old wives.
Those eyes sing
the lost game,
homesickness
of innocent childhood.
Those eyes speak
of rape suffered
and they tell sad
about old husbands.
They cry …the eyes
of baby girls
from a crack
granted to the dress.
Another of them
in the blood is perished,
now it’s a lifeless doll
On the floor.
