Poem by Narjis Hussain
Speak! Are You Prepared
Are you prepared…for the unalloyed disgrace,
Ah! For superb lonesomeness,
I can render total subjugation,
O my love!
Whether you are prepared for the multitudes.
What can you say?
“You say that you adore me.”
You are restive,
Ruthless for unification,
Prepare to be acquainted with lunacy of love.
I proclaim on my behalf,
I accept, I admit.
If you stand by me,
I shall wait for the unalloyed disgrace,
But listen to this as well,
Whenever my fiction would be read out,
If you are prepared to listen
Your name would be cited too.
