AN ANOTHER ACCOLADE (AMBASSADOR DE LITERATURE) FOR MUHAMMAD SHANAZAR
(A Poet and Translator from Pakistan)
Muhammad Shanazar, one of the most sought-after poets of the world today, is , now , the ”Ambassador De Literature Laureate”; an honour accorded to him by Motivational Strips, Global Writers’ Hub, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to world literature. For this illustrious poet of Pakistan who was a nominee for the Nobel Prize in 2015, this award has come as a surprise; for him it is no less than the Nobel or any other big honour of the world, for that matter. Motivational Strips Academy for Literary Excellence and Wisdom (MSALEW) also appointed him Deen for Poetry Analysis of the poets seeking its membership. This is, perhaps, an addition of the brightest jewel in the poet’s crown, already adorned with more than 50 prestigious honours and awards as a writer, translator, ambassador and so on by the reputed organizations working for peace and promotion of literature across the globe. For such a beautiful thing which happened to him, the poet is grateful to Almighty, His infinite mercy; to his teachers and friends, their good wishes. He has thanked to the Organization for conferring the award; Shju H. Pallithazheeth and all the office bearers for evaluating his work, Kairat Duissenor Parman, the founder of WNWA, Kazakhstan for paving the way for the award.
Prof. MUHAMMAD SHANAZAR
Shanazar writes in English; has authored more than five hundred poems and three books namely, “Gems”, “The Cold Stars”, “The Dance of Darkness” and “Cries in the Wilderness”. He translated more than 2000 poems and short stories of other renowned poets, most of them also accumulated honours after being translated. His poems are product of his genuine anguished soul voicing genuine concerns for war, peace and universal disarmament. They are all deeply felt, richly imagined utterances meant for awakening the humanity to the sanctity of life.
From the humble childhood of a cattle grazing, wood cutting boy attending school barefoot; his rise to the stature of a world poet in a strife ridden globe certainly signifies a struggle and journey for meaning and accomplishment. While this award has inspired him to set about for bigger achievements, he needs further guidance from friends and well- wishers and as a poet true to his heart, feels humbled like a child even at this mature stage seeking someone to help him walk holding his finger.
