Pegasus on the Wing

Ahh, the power of magic,
Beyond the touch of logic;

Soaring over the roaring oceans,
In a flight full of wild abandon–

Higher than the cumulus clouds
Mostly in mysterious shrouds

Overlooking the fields of white lilies:
The lilies like lissome lassies!

Reaching lands yet unexplored,
A creature that Greek gods adored;

Beyond the boundaries of time and space,
Symbol of ultimate freedom and grace;

A creation of Greek mythology,
Expressed in poetic eulogy–

You’re Pegasus, the winged stallion,
Turning springs into fountain of inspiration.

Make me fly in the sky
On your white wings, quite high!

Lift me above perceived limitations
To a region alive in my dreams:

Caves of imagination
Full of vibrations!

A wish to catch the moon
Hanging like a bright balloon

In the night sky
With breathtking beauty

Amid silence of stars
And the trance of constellations!

Fossilized Words

I become an image
of the evening,
Iingering in a
deep blue gown.

The sun a
magnificent obsession
with his fiery kisses–
A paradise lost!

Into a thousand
oceans of tears
I dissolve, feeling
The night’s emptiness;

The sad songs of the stars
soft and dry,
rise with a rustle
and die!

Words freeze
to get fossilized
in the anguished
caves of heart!
