Poem by Eden S. Trinidad
Our Stronghold In the Days of Trouble
The future is terrifying
Uncertain we all know
Or pretend nothing is happening
We do not want to show.
As if “Nothing is going on”…
How frighten it would be
If we just see a rerun of our lives
Our world sometimes falls apart
Unbearable how could we survive
Like a slave tempted to run away
or jump from a high place to end life’s misery
How we immersed as champions
Our faith still holds…
Life’s storms are stories and history
In merriment we forget our weary
We take refuge and strength, Behold!
God is still our stronghold.
