My Notebook

And all these years
I have been
Taking notes
Of the messages
That your eyes
Have sent me

Now my notebook
Is full of you
But your eyes
Are devoid
Of all the words
That they used
To spell in my heart
And of the meaning
That i used
To jot down
Like a fervent learner
Facing a master

Shouldn’ t I
Have written you
That way?

Should I
Have left blank
The whole pages
Of my white book ?

Shouldn’ t I
have scrutinized
Your eye color
To that extent?

Shouldn’t I
Have taken your colors
For my eternal rainbow?

Should I
Have ignored
That look in your eyes
And got safe
From that
Horrible possibility
Of your emptiness ?

AHD THE EARTH

She s the earth
She s the breeze
The pure air
And the soft wind

She s spring ..
And winter
And all the flowers
Grow inside her

They re her daughters
And she s
their eternal
Destiny and source ..

She s the years
And the seasons ..
She s the greeen touch
And all the plants names

She s the past
And the present
She s the voice
Of the horizons
And the mirror of the souls
She s the fire ..
In the snowy days

She s the sound
Of the water drops
In the dying ears ..

She s the flowers fragrance
She s their wonderful colours
She s the garden of love
She s the powerful seed
…Of life

LADY OF MY LIFE

Please wake up
My lady
I m so insecure
Each time
you close your eyes
And dive
Into those other worlds

Wake up please ..
or invite me
To your dream ..
Let s walk together
And talk ..
Inside it
For i know
There s so much space
In all your worlds

Get me there
my lady
And tell me again
About the story
Of my birth

Tell me
Lady of my life ..
how you used
To feed my being
With the magic
Of your heart
And how your arms
Embraced my soul
And cared for it
Beyond the times
And the places ..

Wake up ..
For you know
my lady
That all the noise
Echoed by the walls
And all the life
Behind the windows
Won t fill the emptiness
That your silence brings

Wake up my lady
Listen to my words
See how present
You are ..in them
For These
are the words
you told me
When you taught me art
And when we loved
Those history movies
Together ..
And all
the glamorous looks
Of Egyptian stars …
Even Hollywood
Was so present
In my life
With you …

Yes my lady
Those are the words
We used to sing
Around the fire
During those rainy
Winter nights ..
All our beloved ones
were there my lady
And he was there too..

Wake up
My lady
Be my first reader
my last reader
my eternal reader
And give my words
A chance to survive
For you and I
Perfectly know
That they re ordinary
Nonsense
And vain
Without the touch
Of the lady you are
