Poems by Asoke Kumar Mitra
THEY…
They met on a seashore
They didn’t know the loneliness
Fire of love
A winter night
Hope and wonder
Transparent moon away in the sky
They dream together
Glitter in their veins,
Midnight whispers
A too-short love
Winter night with a graceful ache
Empty corridors of winter
They have gone away

Never ever
Tonight beside the window
Lonely highways come alive
You look through the broken window pane
A tired stranger
A rusted frame of a moon
Never pretend that you love me
Never look back
Never look my way
Never, even once
Just once if you say
Call my name
My naked eyes can not find
You are in the galaxy
With my darkness
Let’s forget
The mystery
Better you walk away
Never look back
Fatigued winter night
Pretention hurts the most
Let us celebrate our way…
