Bonhomie / Poem by Caroline Nazareno-Gabis

Bonhomie

You are our royal sun,
The inexorable Pater Concise,
Tall, dark and handsome,
You are everbody’s Papang!
Your noble visions
Speak creed of generosity, willpower and goodwill.
You’ve etched a sharp authority in a groomed World History,
anthemic Biology and erudite Greek Mythology;
You are the song’s jolly good fellow;
you’d make all days aglow.
We revolt celestial explosions of laughter,
When you ramped your way,
The most talked series from Monday to Friday,
Until one would say ‘’You’ve got the look!”…
You, the memory of cyclic purpose above the Alps,
Who ignited Titan personality and inspired ruby pillars;
You were the seasoned gardener of virtues
Amidst flagellating conquests.
You are the epitome of a paragon,
in the sea of stars,
deep in our hearts.
