SOME RESOLUTIONS SOME REVOLUTIONS / Poem by William Mpina

Poem by William Mpina

SOME RESOLUTIONS SOME REVOLUTIONS

One resolution when you are in
trouble with someone
leave them, just leave them
Free advice

Take too long to calm your nerves
The world free will depart from
freedom
And leave ‘dom’ in our society
Dom as in doom will irk
Give us emaciated orphans
Wandering lost duckings
Bleeding shattered minds –
News of abduction weaponry for
anger
Deface the face of peace
Cast it out like a Pig
Countless times to beg them
loosen up
Kneeling and praying, no
entry point
But oozing of instability
Deadly hounds chasing freedom
Out of the blue
Then shrink afterwards
Drama after ill-RESOLUTIONS
Sweetens
Like songs at a Tea Party.
