Poems by Lucilla TRAPAZZO

***

My loose shoes
on the carpet
a bit farther yours.
A honey kiss
and another which already lingers
on a smile. In the shadow
of the valleys of love
I wore on my back
your destiny your cross
of lemon balm in the shrubberies
in the uncultivated fields
in the houses
of bees.
For a moment
and forever I
loved you.

***

Kasut ku yang longgar
atas permaidani
sedikit jauh dari kasut mu.
Kucupan manis
dan sekali lagi yang sudah pun terbayang
dalam senyuman mu . Pada bebayang
di lembah cinta
yang ku bawa
di atas belakang ku
destini mu dan beban yang tertulis
dalam semak pohon limau yang mengubati
di ladang yang tidak bertanam
di rumah
lebah bersarang.
Untuk seketika
dan selamanya
aku menyintai mu

OF HANDBAGS AND OF SHOES

I don’t like handbags.
What a weight things, objects, history.
The tight noose of possession.
Private property
Instead I have a thousand pairs of shoes
to walk with.
At every mile I try on a new pair.
I stop and mess up the grass,
still so green and tender.
A flower invites a bee to its pistil.
I’m lost in my daydreaming again.
And my feet? Ouch, the pain!

TENTANG BEG TANGAN DAN KASUT

Aku tak suka beg tangan
Berat, objek fesyen lama
Belitan erat kepunyaan.
Harta persendirian
Tapi aku punya seribu pasang kasut
untuk berjalan
Bagi setiap batu, aku mencuba kasut baru
Aku berhenti berjalan dan menggeselnya ke atas rumput
kasut ku sangat baru dan lembut.
Sekuntum bunga menjemput lebah menyerinya
Aku khayal dalam angan-angan ku lagi

Dan kaki ku? Adoi, sakit!
