Poem by Rajashree Mohapatra
Oh ! how have I smouldered in stiffled yearning Oh ! how have I burnt in the leaping fire of my desire…Oh! how bitterly have I cried out for you
behind the veil of waiting!
On body’s altar I have lit the sacred fire of my penance. I offer laddlefuls of myself to keep fire lighted until you appear as apparition of my wish fulfilled..
The silent signals of your soft arrival in the spring air..Have you come Dear..would you ever ?
You know me my Love my hesitant sorrow the grief of your petulant one!
In waiting I burst forth into life..take me!
