FLOWER
I am colourful flower, spirit of human life
Symbol of your love and compassion
Span of my life reminds all of you
The reality of death and essence of life.
Although I fade within a few days
I do spread fragrance to the world
I bathe your world with rainbow
Bees help me to provide you nectar.
I stand for peace and brotherhood
I bloom to enchant the soul of the world
The beauty of nature remains incomplete
Unless and until I join there
Dew drenches me with sweet love
I transform them into precious pearls
The winter breeze whistles then
To greet our mutual eternal love.
I like spring to enjoy rain kisses
I sing a song of joy and sorrow
A colourful bunches of me
Is offering to one who rests in nest.
An untouchable
Me growing up as an untouchable
Feel ashamed of being called a human
When I am restricted to enter
The courtyard of so-called higher caste.
I reminded him ,I was one who donated
Blood for his son, struggling against death.
But he is not ready to listen and hear me.
Temples and houses of higher class
Where dogs are allowed for entry
But low caste, is inhibited to enter there .
Man should be treated and honoured
Based on his dedication to society
Not on, caste, creed color and religion .
Those people who belong to higher class
They do purchase meats from my store.
But I am not allowed touch their water
And cooked food ready for them to eat.
One who is on the floor of death, ready
To accept transfusion and transplant of
organ that belong to poor lower caste .
But not ready to drink water touched by him.
Think yourself, what a hypocritical world it is !
I am here enforced to say without hesitation.
Shame to creature called human
For selfish motives rooted inside them.
Law of nation has already acclaimed
Abolition of discriminatory traditions
based on caste ,creed ,race gender & color .
But those painful discrimination still
Prevailing in remote areas of villages.
