Poem by Juhi Gupte

***

zipped
frivolous anxiety
carried, but put aside

for she was

here in the
mangroves along mandovi

haggling with the weather

nothingness
on the to-do list

hid her eyes;

ripples of
randomness

waist length
brown hair
flowing in the
stillness
that filled air
Trees that sway
in agility of. thoughts

accomplice were times;
spilled popcorns

Sinking
Soaking
Sunday,
bench turned its face

towards her own reflection….
