STARS

When our loved ones
pass away through darkness
along the path of sorrow
to the blessed light,
they become stars
in the promised heavens.

We peer into the heavens
through tears, silent –
we’re looking for the faces
of our loved ones,
who sparkle like silver stars
on the night velvet.

We look at them, admire them,
want them home.
And we won’t even wonder
where the stars came from
once or forever
in a mind-blowing cosmos.

They still exist in the bosom
of absolute silence
as they disappear through
black holes without a trace.
Their spirit will fill space
by the will of the Creator.

Then the eternal pendulum
will swing again slowly,
and the stars will appear
from the long serene dream
of the endless “nothingness”
of absolute silence.

Having taken shape, they return
to the existence –
renewed, with radiant faces
once or forever
in a mind-blowing cosmos.

They look at us from heavens,
admire us, want us home –
to the endless “nothingness”
of absolute silence.
