Talking Nonsense / Poem by NilavroNill Shoovro

Poem by NilavroNill Shoovro

Talking Nonsense

like the old train station,
forlorn…and forgotten…
only with dead memories,
empty railway tracks
kissing the horizon
in the distance
amidst the descending dusk
so, I am sitting alone
weaving distorted memories
talking nonsense
like those people
who live only in the past
like the trees nowhere to go
shaking along the windy nights
so I am, fixed on my ground
still shaking the head in disbelief
whoever wrote the script
did injustice all along…
like the scattered butts
of brunt cigarettes
kissing own ashes
days remain silent
with lost dreams
and people like me
with nowhere to go…
with none to reach…
with nothing to confess…
keep on talking nonsense
with the lost dreams…
these days and forever…

  1. One of the best poems which nostalgically narrates the feeling of nothingness which becomes a part of life when years of life start betraying and relevance is lost in the den of memories. Nothing remains to communicate even with self except nonsense.
Very well narrated the pain which a void in life causes.
