THE WIND’S LONELINESS / Poem by Asoke Kumar Mitra

Poem by Asoke Kumar Mitra

THE WIND’S LONELINESS

I watched the winds caressing the leaves
This cold night and your silence

Trees grow around my feet
The innocent wind knows the syllables of stone

Lonely wind stings the skin of wild rose
Will bring a silent death

Tattooed moon gliding down the clouds
The lonely wind moves towards your eyes

The moon closed its eyes
Lonely wind smiled

Alone dancing in the cold night…
