Sea-gull / Poem by Susana Roberts

Poem by Susana Roberts
You are your own compass
free as the air , free as the fire
the intense blue flees
between the golden breeze of your wings
while the depth opens
towards the silhouette of the sun that waits
The foam, vertex of your flight
Faithful witness to the tides
embraces the complicity of the shoal fish
The waves tune your appetite
and on high, the eternal blue endures
in your destiny, as free as the air
next to the salt that oxygenates my dawn
