Poem by Violeta Marquez
***
The night embraces me
while my loneliness is silent.
The murmurs of silence
they wrap my soul.
Just like the dogs, they bark.
Damn nights, maybe blessed
that in my world seem infinite.
The stars come out to amaze
my eyes, which many times I ignore.
Yet you breathe, every adverse moment.
The moon falls asleep and the sun comes out to say good morning as always.
This life is as vulnerable as every day.
