VIRVELVIND (WILD WIND) – Asoke Kumar Mitra / Translated into Norway Language by Svanhild Løvli

Poem by Asoke Kumar Mitra

VIRVELVIND

Natta faller på,
Ett bank på døra
Det var vinden som slo,
Flammen fra ett lys
Danser i hjørnet av rommet…

Vinden blåser kraftig,
Løv faller og natt sjasmin
Tidens støv og latteren din
Blander seg med din siste sang
Av smerten

Måneløs dyster midnatt
Stoppet du og stirret ut i mørket
Husker glemt kapittel
Meislet inn i veggene på rommet vårt
Virvelvind banker i fortvilelse…

WILD WIND

Night deepens,
A knock on the door
It was the wind knocked,
Flame of a candle dancing
At the corner of the room…

The Wind runs wild,
Falling leaf and night jasmine
The dust of time and your laughter
Mingle in your last song
of the pain

Moonless gloom of midnight
You stopped and gazed in the dark
Remembering forgotten chapter of memory
Sculptrd on the walls of our room
Wild Wind knocking in despair…
