Until I fade sway / Poem by Debabrata Mohanty

Poem by Debabrata Mohanty
Until I fade sway
I keep my lifeline in a container.
Tightly closed free from viruses,
Savour it crispy and wholesome
As I slip my hands into the biscuit jar
For the morning cup of tea…….
Do I survive the onslaught of storm
That turns up side down where I contain?
Or the freezing cold that makes it impalpable?
The flavour of the day tastes insipid
As the thoughts grow weird….
If your thinkings steer your angles
Then let me learn the tricks
To cross the vicissitudes in the road
I ain’t afraid to drive,I won’t sneak away
I’m sure I will be there where I belong to.
