Poem by Maria Dulce Leitao Reis
VIRGIN DREAMS
In my mind
A whirlwind of ideas and plans…
In my heart
Many feelings and emotions…
My body is gripped by a mad frenzy
Like satanic sessions
They are pleasures and not harms.
Whipped by jasmine branches
is shaken by vehement desires
That strain muscles and cause suffering
Oh so much that I love you
that so much love hurts me!
I close my eyes and see you in front of me
Your gaze pierces me and makes me moan
I’m captivated by the charm of your mouth
I want to touch you and I reach out my hand
But it twitches sharply
I am getting crazy?
Not!
I just don’t want to live an illusion
This love hurts but it’s no pain
I know I’m daydreaming with my eyes closed.
In this sweet lullaby, I’m loving you.
And I make love with virgin dreams,
they are dreams not yet dreamed of!
