The cell / Poem by Eva Petropoulou Lianoy

Poem by Eva Petropoulou Lianoy

The cell

I keep my beauty away
In a cell
Hide my precious belongings

Days passed by
Nights are coming
Without a Moon

In my cell
I keep my Beauty away from
Strange eyes

As a caterpillar
Prepare myself gently
In my cokoon
I will hide from the Sun
In this darkness

I will transform my self
To the most
Beautiful butterfly

I keep my beauty
Secretly hidden

Until my wings become strong enough
To fly up to the blue sky
