False mirrors / Poem by Luz María López

Poem by Luz María López

False mirrors

Inutility is the time invested
in glamour trances,
the fascination of consumerism
rocking alive as a huge void
where to drown yourself
infinite times,
while the world spins in wars,
dispossessed childhood,
unknown destinations,
cracking sorrows
and the fragility
of hunger!
