Bare Majesty / Poem by Lily Swarn

Poem by Lily Swarn

Bare Majesty

Majestic in its bare avtar
Not a bit ashamed of its artistic nudity
Spreading out its branches to embrace
Every squall of frosty wind
Letting the milk streaked aqua blue peep through it’s lattice windows
As the wise old sky watched the dramatic twist of colours
Disrobing flaming vestments
For spindly brown fingers
As October rolls to November
