A walk to the eternity / Poem by Sunita Paul

Poem by Sunita Paul

A walk to the eternity

As the penetrating silence invades my chaotic soul
I took the road never travelled before, to redefine my goal
The trees welcomed me on either sides of the road
The path seemed like a heavenly abode
As I walked alone carrying my weary self
Something was dying inside me and none was there to help
I paused, I looked up above and said a little prayer
To make me strong enough for all hardships to bear
Suddenly my spirits were raised and I felt a magic flow
My exhausted self regained all it’s strength as I had miles to go
