Life-Death (To Nilda) – Vida-Muerte ( Para Nilda) / Poem by Susana Roberts

Poem by Susana Roberts

Life-Death (To Nilda)

You pass away amid the bare sweat of autumn trees
you rise escorted by your angel of rest.
with the sound of goodbye
that will never be pronounced
And maybe not too far,
in this southern shore
The fish disturb waters
With your joyous sign of new orchids.
You don’t know about flowers or outfits
You don’t want words that you can’t hear
Only your last smile remains in us
inside the dark silence of a crunch of stars.

Vida-Muerte ( Para Nilda)
