Poem by Kadrush Radogoshi
THE JOURNEY THROUGH THE RAIN OF SORROW
I sat on the chair of ideas
But their names were stolen
I wanted to laugh
But the laugh was very angry…
I tried to be silent
But the silence was not mine.
Only after I got convinced
That my legs were completely mine
Did I set off ?
They accompanied me to the front door
All the creatures of my old house.
I walked over the ashes of wishes
Through the wide territory of pain
Until I arrived at the crossroad of fate
Where the traffic signs were making a terror
Showing the only sense
The door to the entrance of the revived Sodom…
I walked up and down Sodom
Long before or long after the
New Era Through its quarters…
The rain of sorrow deluged me
When I buried the dead part of myself
In the central square of the city
And then I started drying in the sun of sacrifice
Guarded by Prometheus, Giordano Bruno, Galileo, George Castrioti…
I fell in love with the living part of myself
Before Sodom died
Before the necrology was written…
Giordano Bruno – Italian cosmologist
George Castrioti – Albanian hero who fought The Ottoman Empire
