Poem by Slavka Božović
Tower of card
Bridges cannot be made of foam
The winds throw them into oblivion over time
You can’t build relationships without love
Empty attempts hurt and oppress.
Where there is no understanding, there is a poor spirit
It obscures the essence of existence
And the pious step ceases to shine
Bridges are not made of dry branches.
Although we have invested a lot of effort, the risk is great
If they are not arches, built of trust
Friendly steel is needed for a solid bridge
Everything that is built on lies collapses like a tower of cards.
