Poem by Muqaddas Idrees
EYES
Eyes says a great deal
Their utterance is everything
Their observation, around
Is what the pneuma sees
Their expression for the beloved
Is just endearment
Likely when you smile
In your eyes are all the delights
When they meet mine
My heart beats harder and faster
The charm of your dreamy eyes
My dopamine rise and rise
Taking my eyes off you
Because my occurrence
Doesn’t even bother you
Realising one thing
Eyes at a time are, both
The bonafide and the bogus
