The Presence of Anca Mihaela Bruma at the Festival of Mysticism in England

Translation By James Cairns

This year’s International Festival of Mysticism took place at Buckden Towers in England. Buckden Towers is an impressively idyllic 12th century fortified castle of historic importance. The celebrity guest was the writer and mystic poet Anca Mihaela Bruma who has achieved resounding success thanks to her sensually mystical lyrics, which could be defined as works of art. Anca is an eclectic thinker, with a strong multicultural mindset. Originally from Romania, she has lived in four continents, though has now settled in Italy. Anca has obtained diplomas in various fields of study and research. She graduated in humanities in Romania and obtained a Masters degree in business management in Australia. Her writing reflects her spirituality, and within her works we find representations of an inner, hidden reality, a quantum vision of ‘existence’ where time and space do not exist.

Anca has published several books, most noteably “The Infinity of Love”. She sees her works as an act of creation in which pain turns into beauty, where the main purpose of creating art has to be the elevation of the souls and minds of her readers. Artistic director Harun Rabbani was the most excellent host for this event. He organized the Festival of Mysticism with great expertise, bringing together various cultural presentations. Mr. Harun turned the whole event into a roaring success. The dancers Andreea Monalisa, Roberta Di Laura and Roxana Ursu styled their choreograhies to correspond to and blend in with the event. In an amazing first performance, Roxana Ursu danced to Anca’s poem “Cyberspaced truths” in the natural surroundings of the castle. The atmosphere created was phenomenal, and the author’s verses came to life in the most beautiful of bodily expressions. Every day, particular attention was paid to the meditative arts.

The contributions of Carol Talbot ( author of “You, the divine genius” ) and of Jenn Tiller, Ricardo Garcia and Julie Gunn ( guitar and vocals) delighted audiences with wonderful interpretations, and these moments were often appropriately flavoured with the know-how and talent of the Italian maestro Massimiliano Raso! In a fairytale atmosphere, and in surroundings that sang the soul and magic of Anca’s poetry, I asked the author how she felt about this experience, this step of her journey. “The festival of mysticism was extraordinary from all points of view. There was so much fervor, so much passion, so much spirituality, and so much art. I am, above all, grateful to those friends who made such an event possible. They made it possible for me open up dimensions and expose my poetry to nature, and nature replied by acknowledging this harmony, by showing me that a universal connection brings those people who love life, together”.
