Poem by Houda Boukassoula
BLISS
That moonlit night
My eyes wide open
I was sleeping
Under a bay tree
My body was there lying
My soul was set free
I was slumber and wide awake
That moonlit night
My eyes wide open
I was awakening
Under a bay tree
I felt the bliss of seeing the light
All my cells were in a shake
As a mountain in an earthquake
That moonlit night
My eyes wide open
I was rising
Under a bay tree
My soul was oozing kindness
Charity, altruism and righteousness
To immerse my body with bliss
That moonlit night, I saw everything
The following morning,
The sun was sending heat and light
And I was sweating bliss and happiness.
