Living Into The Whirlwind / Poem by NilavroNill Shoovro

Poem by NilavroNill Shoovro

Living Into The Whirlwind

Still waiting for few truths
Walking up and down
This way, that way, left and right
Yes, restless and tensed a lot
Anxious like the pregnant woman
Waiting for her doctor
Inside four walls of labor room
Praying for everything imaginable!

Remembering all those words
Still roaming around
The graveyards of old prophets
Dead, killed murdered and
Silenced beneath the veil of time,
Word, still whispers around
The breeze rippling through
The shadows of desperate hopes

Yet, watching those mannequins
With dazzling cosmetics
Desperately mesmerizing and hypnotic
Drawing all attentions around…
Marching past the skyscrapers
The war memorials and monuments
Smiling effortlessly like prophets, but
With false promises and lies
