When I close my eyes – Alicia Minjarez Ramírez / Translator: Marcel Kemadjou Njanke.

Poem by Alicia Minjarez Ramírez

When I close my eyes
For the love of my life

What a sky
When the firmament illuminates?

Since abandonment and refuge
What feeds the spell
From The Euphrates Breeze,
I’m watching your name.

Shadow seized
I want to disapprove
Our steps,
In the call
Birds
Who pops up
At five.

The Universe
Start and end
In the middle of us…
When I close my eyes.
