VINTER RESONANS (WINTER ECHOES) – Asoke Kumar Mitra / Translated into Norway Language by Svanhild Løvli

Poem by Asoke Kumar Mitra

VINTER RESONANS

(WINTER ECHOES)

To ugler sitter på vinduet
Natta er ung og lovløs

Det er begynnelsen av en ny dag
Lyden av hundeglam gjaller gjennom mørket

En neve uforløst begjær svelger månen
Lyden av løv som faller vinterstid.

Lyden av flaksende uglevinger
hvisker ut minnene
Ett merkelig, vagt bilde
av øynene dine.

En lidenskapelig vinternatts sultne måne
ensom, bunnløs avgrunn

Minner i neonlys
søker mine tapte dikt.

WINTER ECHOES

Two owls sit on the windowpane
The night is young and forbidden

It is the beginning of another day
The harking of dog’s echoed in the darkness

A fist of unfinished desire swallowed the moon
The sound of falling leaves of winter.

Flapping winds of owls churning out the memories
A strange blurred picture of your eyes

A passionate wintry night’s hungry moon
Lonely, vacant abyss of silence

Memories in neon light
Searching my lost poems.
