June 21-International Yoga Day: Winter Solstice – “Rethinking the Human Being”
By: Susana Roberts
Being in a state of Yoga means: inner harmony, concentration, awareness of our being: as a unique human being and being human with others in: “Unity” is being in a state of care with others and the Planet, also feeling “Gratitude” .
This winter solstice day – in this part of the southern hemisphere, where a weak sun hides and we connect with the splendid snowy nature, while the sun goes away, it is time to contemplate the inner being with more dedication. We meditate and consequently reflect that the chaos in these real times occurs due to our excessive demands; many times because of the uncontrolled desire to get more and more, to be someone else, all the time internal and external demands.
Let’s see the face of love in each of them, let us teach him the moment to meditate on our children, we should not feel that they are a property, but ask ourselves: who and why are they in our lives? Which are their wishes? therefore, it is urgent to cultivate that amorous “permeable” inner aspect in them, so that for them to reach a better future that does not depend exclusively on the exterior. Since antiquity, ancient cultures, full of traditions, knew this knowledge, “kept” provisions for the winter, took to their “Houses” lots of wood and food, and the home: “bonfire” became a winter festival full of legends, the amusements in “family” meant eternal and inner music that flourished in the pores. It is time to observe and love our interior, cultivate it with a look of love towards others, as does the bare tree with its sap flowing inside, and the roses with their perfume that do not surrender to the coldest winter.
Furthermore, there is a hidden violence that we must completely banish, and it is influenced by the ego, we respond to it all the time, and not to our pure observance of the inner human nature.
To destroy the chaos in the world, more and more creative human beings are needed to express their constructive intention that benefits people in their daily actions. A responsible human bridge, the most faithful to the spirit, needs strong communications full of respectful feelings that awaken in the other great intentions of harmony. It is necessary to create a new frontier, where, including poetry, the demands of human dignity and transdisciplinary mind-body and spirit conversations not only focus on revealing the crisis of contemporary political thought, but also invite us to think about what It could mean a true “human being” in the 21st century.
