Poem by Margaret Kowalewska

The river sings
our sweet whispers
with closed jade eyes
of beauty and charm..
The sun caresses our skin
As we touch,
the colours of dawn play violin
We feel each other,
and our love, we visualize..
Our eyes, like this river dreams
being tantalized
But the alluring spring
turns to cold winter spin
When she takes you away
making world fade within
Only the moon glossed pearls
on my face, agonized..
And she kisses your lips
breaking my heart in a blink
She is beautiful, knows well,
how to remove pain
It is she who betrayed my life.
Her name is death
He flew away in her embrace
on angel’s wings
in the far skies
where diamonds like to dance in vain
But at times I feel his love
surrounding my breath
