Poem by Rajashree Mohapatra
(Presented in Odia ,English , Spanish and Assamese language)

Bhubaneswar, India .
Me … an earthen lamp …
I am an earthen lamp, I burn with a sunken glow
in mirth enchanted .
But you are the boundless spate of light,
Why do you need O Lord , a mere lamp like me to do you honour?
I burn…I shall keep burning as I do now, perhaps because I am a tiny part of the great lamp divine
But why do you look lustreless O source of all light, before me, the tiny earthen lamp?
The poet

  1. Excellent narration on this poem my dear sister. The words flow very well and are quite inspirational. Your descriptive excellent regarding being a light to humanity is awesome and very impressive. I like your use of the questioning technique to draw readers into the lines of the poem for more in depth analogy. Keep your light shining always for others to see and and be uplifted. Have an awesome day, don’t forget to pray, stay encouraged, be strong, inspired, ingenious, resilient, and blessed always!
