MY LOGIC / Poem by Rahim Karim

Poem by Rahim Karim

MY LOGIC

I’m not used to pouring water into the sand
And build a fortress from the sand by the sea.
I don’t want to tell those who don’t want to listen
Show to those who do not want to see.

I plant good grain in the ground,
I water it with water of hope.
I open the window to the radiant sun,
I open the door to transparent air.

I never argue with a fool
I leave the world in which he lives.
I don’t pretend to be a false glory
To false honor, to false poetry.

I don’t waste my time talking
Days, hours, minutes and seconds.
I create every moment of God
I treasure every inhalation and exhalation.

I’m not used to pouring water into the sand
And build a fortress from the sand by the sea.
I don’t want to tell those who don’t want to listen
Show to those who do not want to see.

I do not forge a monument out of snow
And I don’t make a lake out of rain.
I don’t knit word sweaters
And I write with a pen on paper.
