“WONDERS OF CREATION” – Ranjit K. Sahu
Ranjit K. Sahu, contemporary Hindu writer delights us with a wonderful, unique work. His work entitled “ Wonders of Creation” show us a writer as an invisible collector of the detailed great creation by the Almighty. It is a book that impacts from the beginning, the author gives presence to what exists in nature to awaken our forgetfulness and guide us for the return to the sources, where the water runs crystal clear to quench our thirst among plants and streams of surprising greenery, a creation that he divided into acrostics, elements and plants, so that nature can sing and invent dialogues. It is a great and neat compilation of poems that raises its vibration on each page as if a painter’s palette were prepared for the great surprise with the intention of giving birth to the most subtle sensations that the reader will take for himself, understanding how small we are in front of the immense creation. In Ode to Creator sincere and transparent words sprout in a rich construction of verses, he says: of your large creation that a miniscule part I am / take not us to you but just on this world keep us alive. The gratitude to creation is immensurable.
Schumann says that the artist’s mission is to shed light on the darkness of the human heart. Here the creator of the created arises; this author contemplates, teaches and is able to do so in the most loyal way to the naturally created. In The good Earth, he says: always has she fulfilled our needs, rather we succumbed to our greed’s. Ranjit Sahu uses contemplation in each of his verses, in a slow and subtle way while his words sound with vibrant inspiration and talent towards the complete understanding of the cycles in his poem The Seasons , he expresses : They come in cycles as if he bound their fates by time. In The Weather, the full dance stands out, with marked sonority. He says: Elements like clouds, wind and sun, rule the weather for their fun. In this art there is matter contained from its deep inspiration where the creative spirit goes after its call, it is faithful to it. He observes the natural from its essence no matter how. Moses comes down invisible, from the mountain and observes the golden calf, despite everything it brings wisdom to men. Everything is in the dance of life, like the creation that surrounds us. The author gives rise to awakening, so that the reader can observe himself, his interior and origin. In Deep Blue Sea he tells us: they are so vast, surely impossible to understand while we last. In Mountain, he expresses: taller than the tallest trees, another rocky mold he is, inside hiding a hundred secrets. In the revered Himalayas, he says: making a getaway for monks and sages, arising from them flow rivers great, leaves them flow to ocean gates. Sunshine is a sublime poem. In Rainbow he says: wait not for anyone ever why? Slowly they diffuse back into the sky. In Thunder he is in full strenght when he says: terrorizing the weaks hearts, hidden in a dark cloud. The author touches the soul of creation itself, plants or seasons, his verses are of total enjoyment because he makes it possible the natural spirit be present and he makes it speak, even not happens with people, according to the scientist Virchow : “I have embalmed many bodies and never found a soul.” He vibrates the moment with Autumn leaves, and says: Vacillating on the trees tall, Evening sun lends them a glow, slowly they fall, by wind’s blow. In Desert Sand: Another Track of camel and man, no man on them can trace his way, during sandstorms they blow away. The Elements are presents. Fog: silently as if blanket so thick. Floods: the same water that brought life, caused death in its ragging flow. He produces a timeless rhythm along with verses that swim between the elements of the earth in nature. In Depth he says: Alas none reached the depths, as deep as one, Who has reached into depths of his own mind. Clouds, Monsoon showers, The Sea are poems immersed in the space and time of contemplation of this great author who leaves nothing to the orange blossom and is building from the genuine the external premises of harmony with the need to be exposed to the reader at the same time is able to eternalize this creation even more. He maintains the forms, the beauty immersed in the natural beauty and take it from the plants , the trees and says. Trees: The humble trees, the austere trees, Whispering in my ears again, The concept of death and birth. The Lotus: Growing away from the stinking swamp, Blooming out of the hurdles of water too, Each day you can reach the Almighty’s light. He writes to the Hibiscus flowers and sunflowers with an unparalleled sensitivity until reaching the Autumn Foliage and he says: Among the forests are set flames, through the afternoon leaves play, the color changing games … Also with the Autumn Leaves and Naked Oaks his verses are a true symphony of colors. If we know how to listen, the nature sings the best song and the author does it in a substantially precious way in his poems: On a sunny beach, the song’s bird, the crickets song and finally enters into a dialogue, or the matter speaks for itself its own language with the environment in delicious poems called Tales, examples are: The eagle’s dilemma, the rock, the oasis, in Caribou’reflection he says: we will lie fast asleep, till spring wakes us you know. God will up again in spring, however long the winter be. In The Pine and the Oak: the pine teased the oak “you also tremble in winter”. In The Inert and the Active: Burgeoning with scarlet buds, the tree danced in the spring breeze. In the last poem “Patient” he says: why do you stand still my dear, don’t the elements you do fear, the hill looked at me and told: I am standing still though am old I am waiting to meet the sea.
I wish the author big success, and gratitude he has trust in me to crticque his poems. It is a book for instructing in all times to all ages, it tells us about how small we are in front of the power of nature. The author responds to the law of inner necessity and with this art, he rescues the soul of the nature- *Maeterlinck, pioneer of the mood composition of modern art says: “There is nothing on earth that is so strongly inclined to beauty and beautifies itself as simply as the soul. For this reason, there are few souls on earth that resist another soul devoted to beauty. ”Ranjit Sahu tells us about the cycles of life, shows us the direction, takes the pulse of brightness, color, cold, heat, birth, life and death.
To read this work is to look ourselves in the mirror, to contemplate our own nature and find the answer that speaks of reconstruction, teaching, patience and gratitude. There are many virtues that emanate from this staging that the author offers us with great beauty, he shares it in the way we learn to see the true purity of nature and conscientiously to take care of everything created by the Lord creator.
