Poems by Phoebe Gazi
Season’s of Life
Grey clouds gathering
Like mountain high
Near the path through the
Wood a golden candle lit
The ancient yellow star
Diving behind a crimson crown
Of the cloud’s mountain
In a thunderous sky…
I followed the light
Deep into the shadows
Did I not stand there before
With the flowers and shone with
Them in their shimmering season?
Warmth of dawn’s ray
Didn’t touch my soul
Like every corner around me is a silent desert
Note book of questions
Grinds in the heart
Like helpless soul just learnt to cry
Yet life filled with tiny vessels of hopes
Wrapped in time…
