Poems by Ewelina Maria Bugajska – Javorka
The Purple Substance
My inert veins through which flows purple substance,
Rises up from lethargy,
Pumps blood into me,
So that I may uprise from my knees,
And with dignity may offer dedication in abundance.
Let my mind and flesh become one,
Let the purple substance emerge up, out of twilight,
in the horizon of restlessness,
for it sustains my purple desire.
A Flesh On A Wave
I like when you look at me,
I become then more beautiful,
From your eyes all my sweetness comes out from within.
I like when you stare at me,
When the spark of your looks stick into me,
Then the color of my body becomes brighter.
I like when your half ajar lips whisper my name,
Then the sound of your voice pierces my soul.
I like to feel your touch through my hair,
It makes my skin emit a tempting scent.
I like when you dive into my well,
Then my senses take me flying into the other world,
And the flesh like a seagull drifting on a wave remains behind,
Then I surrender to the magic of your love.
If I Were
If I were the wind,
I would ward off the dark swirling clouds far away,
Which hang above your head,
So as you could go your way without haste.
If I were the rain,
I would wash sadness and suffering away from your face,
So as to fresh breeze could penetrate your chest.
If I were a flower,
I would seduce you with tempting scent,
So as to each moments of your life could be a wondrous sensation for you.
If I were a nightingale,
I would bring you through the maze,
Which is hung between heaven and hell.
If I were but I am not neither a singing bird
nor a flower, nor rain, nor wind.
I am a human being and full of anguish as you are,
I am made to love you,
and protect you the whole life.
