Reflections
A collaborative poem by Aarti Mittal and Nutan Sarawagi

Aarti

Sitting by the river banks
Lost in your thoughts
I see my reflections
Dancing on the waters clear
The azure sky
Me and my solitude
The life void or brimmed
With reflections revolving around
Wandering with some noises
Some sounds
I throw the pebble
With the ripples they all vanish
Adding to the rivers
I wonder why these tears
Are they the tears of togetherness
When we were apart
Coz of ripples of kinship
Or the tears of a void feeling
With your presence next to me
These hallucinating reflections
Are like the tempest
In the sea of my tranquility.

Nutan

As I look
for you
in me
with you
I see nothing
but you
in me
with you

as I look afar
with you
in me

nothing
to see me
but you

in me
with you

you.
